The knowledge carried by women is vital to protecting Adana and Çukurova food culture. Recipes kept alive at home, seasonal preparations, preservation methods, dough work, sweets and communal table traditions are most often passed generation to generation through women's labour.
This section treats women's labour not as a side activity, but as one of the main elements of Adana's culinary heritage.
